Hearne plays a pavement artist who has managed to deceive his wife and daughter into thinking he is actually a successful businessman. Keeping his true professional identity a secret for a number of years, he has to blow his cover when his "other" self is thought to have been murdered, and Hearne is the most likely suspect. This lighthearted comedy is a remake of THE STRANGE ADVENTURES OF MR. SMITH, from the same team of Rogers and Maltby.
