Lupino and Patrick play two sisters left to fend for themselves when their wealthy father dies and leaves them without any money. The more resourceful of the two, Lupino, gets involved in the hat business to make a buck, and she becomes quite successful. Patrick winds up marrying the man Lupino originally had an eye for, bringing the latter's spirit down until she meets and falls in love with Taylor. Though she is not given much in terms of original material, Lupino is able to give her role a degree of charm, leaving the few laughs provided in the hands of Cawthorn.
