A windfall of cash awaits a lowly British soccer team if they win enough to be promoted to the third division, and Bob Regan (Kent Walton), a former Canadian soldier, appears to be just the spark they need to pull it off. His talents don't go unnoticed by other clubs, though, and one of them pays Regan's old girl friend (Susan Shaw) to try to lure him to their side. Fat chance.
