Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger Reviews

In this adventure based on the exploits of the famed mythical sailor from A Thousand and One Nights, Sinbad (Wayne, son of John) is enlisted by princess Seymour to help rid her brother of a curse that is gradually turning him into an ape. He is about to ascend to the throne, but an evil sorceress has cast the spell in the hope that her own son might become ruler. The plot and performances are definitely aimed at the younger set, but the film boasts terrific effects by the inimitable master animator Ray Harryhausen. His creations here include a saber-toothed tiger, a chess-playing baboon, a giant walrus, and three nasty ghouls.
