Should a Doctor Tell? Reviews

A doctor wins public plaudits when he refuses to give out information that would violate his oath of confidence during a divorce case. Then he discovers that his son is engaged to a woman who he knows has had a baby. Should he tell his son? The story dully winds its way to a finale with the father lecturing the son, the woman confessing her indiscretion, and the son and father happily reconciled. Bad in every department of filmmaking, this lot of nothing is particularly embarrassing for detective story writer Edgar Wallace, who penned it, and for the future illustrious Shakespearean and Shavian actor Evans, who has never appeared as well in the movies as he has on the stage.
