This video describes Alcatraz, a small island located in the San Francisco Bay which years ago, served as a prison for some of America's most notorious criminals. Both Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly did time on Alcatraz. Robert Stroud served time there; he later became known as the "Birdman of Alcatraz." While the prison could have held up to 450 convicts, it never housed more than 250 at any one time.
