Secrets of a Secretary Reviews

One of the last films produced by Long Island's Astoria Studios, which was desperately trying for a big hit before the doors slammed shut, SECRETS OF A SECRETARY did little to halt the inevitable. Colbert stars as a flighty rich girl who impulsively marries a South American gigolo while on a cruise. After the death of Colbert's wealthy daddy, the gigolo takes off when he realizes she's broke. Forced to work, Colbert takes a job as the social secretary to her father's best friend's wife. Though the daughter of her boss treats her like dirt, Colbert soon finds herself trying to cover up the kid's involvement in a rather messy murder, which leads to predictable results.
