Rustler's Hideout Reviews

A feeble western in which Crabbe breaks up a cattle-rustling ring with the help of faithful St. John. Crabbe also exposes card cheat Chandler and prevents a scheme to swindle Frost and Price out of their meat-packing company. Everything is so familiar and poorly done that even hard core western fans will have a difficult time sitting through this one. Producer Neufeld, known for his ability to trim production costs, arrived at PRC at the start of its operations in 1939. With his brother, Sam Newfield, he was responsible for turning out several low-budget westerns, among them the Billy the Kid series (in which Crabbe replaced Bob Steele).
