Riders of the Badlands Reviews

Starrett has a dual role of both ranger and outlaw. Of course there's the usual case of mistaken identity, with Starrett's men arresting their boss and nearly hanging him before he can prove his innocence. Eventually the ranger's evil look-alike is caught, and all ends happily. Right amounts of gun play and action sequences make this an entertaining albeit average cowboy film. This was one of the movies in the eight-film series to co-star Starrett and Hayden. Hayden retained his "Lucky" nickname from the "Lucky Jenkins" role in the "Hopalong Cassidy" series for Paramount. He would take the same nickname to a later series with Jimmy Ellison, another "Hopalong Cassidy" alumnus.
