Unexciting western fare has Carey escaping from prison to claim $30,000 stolen from a stagecoach 11 years earlier and left in the hands of his drunken brother Griffith. The plan is to split the take with Leslie and Wilke, who have some plans of their own which include doing away with Carey once the money is in eyesight. But everything falls through when it is discovered that downtrodden Griffith has gambled all the money away.
