The early days of cycling (1879) are the backdrop for this British comedy, in which village blacksmith Tom Blake (John Garrick) invents a newfangled bicycle in his spare time. With the help of eccentric solicitor Septimus Earwicker (Claude Dampier), the inventor enters the bike in a race and surprises the skeptics by taking first place.
