Stone plays a small town mayor trying to save the town from confidence men. Churchill and Guilfoyle are the pair of crooks who want to turn the place into a resort town and will do anything to get at the city treasury. Stone's opposition to the con men makes him unpopular, and a recall election is held. Things look grim, but with the help of a reporter, the two swindlers are exposed and the election is called off. This is a minor programmer straddling the fence between drama and comedy. It never seems to know which way to go and finally goes nowhere. The direction is slow and the performances are just average.
