This was famed producer Val Lewton's (THE CAT PEOPLE, I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE) last film, and it happened to be a romantic comedy. Kerr stars as an English girl who has just inherited a valuable 50,000-acre ranch in Texas. As she ventures to the Lone Star state to collect her fortune, opportunist Walker follows and tries to romance Kerr so that she will pay off his massive gambling debts. Also along on the trip are millionaire playboy Lawford, who's out for a good time, and his attorney Stevens, who's out to make sure his boss doesn't have too good a time. After all three men try their best to romance Kerr, it is the shy and unassuming Stevens who wins the lady's favor. Good cast of supporting players makes this rather average idea click.
