A fairly unusual Maynard B-western with our hero as a peace-loving cowpoke who hires a publicity man to spread the reputation that he's a gunslinger, figuring that gunslingers are usually left alone. Unfortunately, under his new guise as a gunman, he is hired by some scared townsfolk to chase away the villains who have invaded their homes. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Maynard figures out a way to get rid of the bad guys and romance local girl Lee.
