One Way Street Reviews

Mason is a doctor who gets involved with criminals in this pointless melodrama. After a robbery from which the crooks bring back a bundle of money, Mason informs them that he's poisoned their boss, Duryea, and if they don't give him the money and Duryea's girl friend, Toren, he won't give them the antidote. Mason and Toren escape to Mexico and end up in a small village. Mason starts a hospital in the village and hears that Duryea is after him. (The "poison" was only aspirin.) Mason returns the money but at the exchange point a gang member kills Duryea and Mason kills the crook. Mason himself is killed when he falls in front of a car as he returns to a waiting Toren. Soundly panned by critics and avoided by the public after its release, ONE WAY STREET quickly sank into oblivion.
