Typical Sino-Japanese War thriller stars Preston as an American pilot serving with the Chinese army who is assigned to fly a group of civilians to the Indian border. Unfortunately, the plane is shot down by the Japanese, and a Nazi spy--who is on board disguised as a priest--leads them into a Japanese prison camp. Eventually, with help from Dorian, a French officer, the tiny group makes good its escape. A remake of the 1932 thriller SHANGHAI EXPRESS. Look for a terrific stint by veteran actor Kruger as a brash businessman (rather than his customary suave self) who appears to be dealing with the enemy.
