Director Christian-Jaque casts his wife, Carol, as a sprightly Paris model who is mistakenly accused of theft. This leads to a series of comic misadventures as she gets involved with a couple of rival gangs while attempting to clear her name. Eventually she does, and falls in love with policeman Piccoli in the process. The nicely handled plot complications and Carol's winning performance combine to make this an enjoyable comedy.
