Nashville Rebel Reviews

Chock-full of some excellent country music singers, this film stars Jennings as an ex-GI who becomes a local sensation with his singin' and strummin'. He marries Frann and has a run-in with a crooked agent, eventually resorting to drink. His wife puts him back on his feet when she cons Ritter into giving Jennings a shot at the Grand Ole Opry. Songs include "Nashville Rebel," "Green River," "Long Way from Home," "Nashville Bum," "Silver Ribbons" (sung by Jennings), "Hillbilly Heaven" (sung by Ritter), "Country Music's Gone to Town" (Wagoner), "Sweet Dream of You" (sung by Young), "Do What You Do, Do Well" (sung by James), "Christmas at the Opry" (sung by Wilburn Brothers, Lynn), and "You Ain't Woman Enough" (sung by Lynn).
