An entry in the "Renfrew of the Royal Mounted" series finds our hero Newill, along with sidekick O'Brien, readying himself for a much needed vacation. Unfortunately, they have to put off their plans for a while when the corpse of Buster turns up in a canoe. The investigative trail leads the team to Royle, a crooked trading post operator. Young is the man's innocent partner. Plenty of action in this fairly routine serial entry, but the production was fairly rushed and shows it at times. Look for appearances by former Sennett clowns, St. John and Pollard.
