Mother, Jugs and Speed Reviews

This disjointed, aimless film attempts to chronicle the experiences of three ambulance workers, Welch, a busty nurse who resents being called "Jugs," Cosby, and Keitel, all racing about the city in response to emergency calls. The idea here is to present many vignettes in which the principals encounter comic and tragic events while maintaining with great difficulty their composure and professional posture. Garfield plays the usual slob who runs the cheapie ambulance company and isn't any better than the leading players, who seem to want to finish this tasteless black comedy as soon as possible.
