Most Precious Thing in Life Reviews

Melodrama starring Arthur as a poor girl working as a waitress who falls in love and marries wealthy college student Cook and soon bears him a son. After the child's birth, Arthur is eased out of the family by Cook's parents, who never thought she was good enough for their boy. Twenty years pass and Arthur is now scrubbing floors at the college her ex-husband attended. There she befriends a wealthy young college student (her long-lost son, of course) who is involved in a tragic romance with a poor girl against his father's wishes. Never revealing her identity, Arthur saves the youngster's relationship and convinces him to play football for the college. Only Arthur makes this soppy stuff worth sitting through.
