Bank robber Beaumont is stricken with money madness when he must spend the $200,000 he netted in a heist. He marries Rafferty and then poisons her aunt, making it appear that the old woman died and left the newlyweds the money. It doesn't take Rafferty long to catch on to his scheme and she notifies the police, who deal Beaumont his just penalty.
