This story of kidnaping was the first of its sort to follow the famous Lindbergh case. Baby LeRoy plays the child of a famous movie star, kidnaped from his luxurious Beverly Hills home. After frantic attempts on the part of the police and the mother, the baby is finally found by a farmer's wife, Brady, who drives to town pursued by the kidnapers. One memorable scene has the mother pleading for her baby over the radio; LeRoy hears the familiar voice through the radio, and searches for the body that goes with it. Though the plot suffers from some implausible situations, as a whole the film delivers a sensitive and touching message. George "Spanky" McFarland played Spanky in the "Our Gang" series, known on television as "The Little Rascals."
