This drama follows Sylvia, a single mother who works as a social worker and a care worker. She has been sober for 13 years and is quietly raising her teen daughter, Anna, in Brooklyn. She finds herself attending her high school reunion where she encounters his schoolmate, Saul. She is creeped out when he follows her home from the reunion, but later discovers that Saul has early onset dementia. Saul's brother eventually hires her as Saul's caretaker.
