Marry Me Again Reviews

Cummings and Wilson are about to be married when he is called to serve as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. While he's gone, Wilson inherits a million dollars from an eccentric aunt. When Cummings returns home, he is bewildered at his fiancee's new status. Unwilling to accept a less-than-breadwinner role in the family, he calls off the marriage and reenlists in the Air Force, only to be subjected to intensive psychiatric testing on the grounds that anyone who would turn down the assets of Miss Wilson (both physical and financial) must be crazy. In a terrifically funny sequence, Cummings is interviewed by doctors trying to figure out whether or not he "likes girls." Finally Wilson, in order to pacify her man, gives the money to a veterans' housing project, and the film ends happily. Don't miss a satirical highlight in which a movie house usher confuses actual onscreen action for a real fight, only to be reassured by her manager that the brawl is just a part of the current 3-D attraction. This film was a sort of family affair with Robert Fallon, Wilson's real-life husband serving as associate producer, and Tashlin's wife, Costa, in a good characterization as a WAC.
