Les Dawson is an aspiring writer who draws most of his inspiration from Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. He decides to go all-in on his dream and moves to Paris in hopes of making a name for himself as a serious novelist. Once there, however, he finds himself sidetracked when he becomes a brothel pianist.
