King's Rhapsody Reviews

In one of his final roles, Flynn plays a royal heir who chooses to abdicate in order to be with Neagle, the woman he loves. But when his father dies, he returns to accept the throne and the hand of Wymore (Flynn's then-wife, his third), whom he eventually learns to love. Flynn unenthusiastically performs this role, while the rest of the cast is adequate. The photography, most of it filmed in Barcelona, is uneven, but the sets and costumes are realistic. There is also an interesting use of flashbacks to portray Flynn's exile.
