King of the Royal Mounted Reviews

Kent is a handsome member of the famed Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He falls in love with Keith, but their romance suffers a setback when she is charged with murdering her father. McGlynn is the bad guy, a lawyer who's framing the young lady so he can have her father's mine for himself. Of course, the dashing Kent saves the day, and the film ends happily. Well-paced good, wholesome fun, with nice performances by the leads. The film was inspired by the popular newspaper comic strip of the day, which itself was spawned from a Zane Grey story. Two serials from Republic studios based on the famed Mountie were released in 1940 and 1942.
