Killer Looks Reviews

KILLER LOOKS is a softcore morality play in which a kinky husband learns in no uncertain terms the drawbacks of sending his wife to bed with everyone he meets. Phillip (Michael Actura) can only get his mojo working through intricate sex games with his beautiful wife Diane (Sara Suzanne Brown). Although she's been a sport about it, Diane has had nearly enough of being discovered in bed with handymen, seducing the wives of Phillip's friends, and having her sex life orchestrated by her voyeuristic mate. One night, when out trolling for new meat at a night spot, Phillip selects Mickey (Len Donato) for Diane, but then crosses the line by pulling a gun on him. Little do they suspect that Mickey is every bit the gamesman they are. Soon he's spying on them, shooting surreptitious photos, and befriending Diane at her day job. The two men finally come to terms they understand: a sporting wager, with Diane as the big-ticket raffle prize. When Diane goes with Mickey to put an end to these playground antics, only to discover that the games have not yet begun, she has to escape at gunpoint, leaving these two jockstraps to go double or nothing on somebody else. Films like this are presumably where porn stars go in the off season. The workload is light, the weather attractive, you get to go outside once in a while, and yet there's still no pressure to deliver a line of dialogue in halfway believable fashion. Brown is spunky enough as the thankless ingenue, arguing against the rigors of exotic sex while dressed in lace clingies, but the film has very little to recommend it, save the ample display of the finest female anatomy medical science can provide. And whereas some intricate puzzle of Chinese boxes is no doubt what the filmmakers were after--a more sportive SLEUTH--the disturbing image of Nicholas Cage's cornball boss in RAISING ARIZONA is sooner brought to mind: "Hell, yeah--we're swingers!" (Violence, extensive nudity, sexual situations, profanity.)
