Juke Box Rhythm Reviews

Cute but silly rock 'n' roll story features Morrow as a princess coming to the Big Apple to buy her coronation robe. Jones (who soon became a big star in far better material) falls for the princess. He tries to get her to change from her wardrobe stylist to his junkman buddy, Conried. Donlevy is Jones' father who tries to use the princess as a publicity stunt to help his Broadway show "Juke Box Jamboree." In between is a lot of good old rock 'n' roll, with star appearances by the Earl Grant Trio, the Nitwits, Johnny Otis, and the Treniers. Songs, all by Richard Quine, Fred Karger, and Stanley Styne, include "Let's Fall in Love" (sung by Morrow), "The Freeze," "Make Room for the Joy" (sung by Jones), "I Feel It Right Here," "Last Night" (sung by the Earl Grant Trio), "Get Out of the Car" (sung by the Treniers), "Willie and the Hand Jive" (sung by Johnny Otis), "Juke Box Rhythm," and "Spring is the Time For Remembering."
