Interlude Reviews

This poor remake of the 1939 film WHEN TOMORROW COMES stars Allyson as an American in Munich for a vacation. She meets Brazzi, a conductor. The two go on a picnic, get caught in a thunderstorm, and fall in love. She doesn't know he's concealing a shrewish wife. Meanwhile, the love-struck Andes is pursuing Allyson across Europe. Brazzi finally attempts suicide, and Allyson leaves for America with Andes. The characters are stock types and the film ventures headlong into cliches. Still, the scenery is nice. This film was remade again in 1968 with the same title.
