Gene Stratton Porter's "Girl of the Limberlost" becomes a melodrama of social conflicts in the swamp country. Jean Parker, Eric Linden, Marjorie Main, Edward Pawley, Betty Blythe, Sarah Padden, George Cleveland.

Parker is a girl from the swamp who meets and falls in love with an aspiring lawyer from the better part of town. She is about to be married to a wealthy widower by her greedy aunt (Main) when the groom-to-be is knocked off. Linden defends the accused, Jewell, in his first case, clearing everyone's name, winning Parker, and reuniting her with Main. Slow-moving but rewarding remake of GIRL OF THE LIMBERLOST (1934).
