Conway is a lawyer who gets gangster Brodie acquitted on murder charges. After the trial, Brodie informs Conway that he tricked him into being his alibi. Conway, unable to bring Brodie to trial again for the murder, goes out to pin something else on him. He gets Brodie back in court on another murder charge and tricks the gangster into confessing to both murders.
