Good, nasty fun from horror-maker-deluxe Castle. In this strange-but-true story (based on a 10-year-old Scandinavian case) Arless pays a bellboy to marry her, then murders the justice of the peace who has performed the ceremony. From there she's off to a gloomy old house owned by a paralyzed old woman and her strange young son. (Where have we seen these two characters before?) The half-sister of the young man is nearly murdered by Arless; the older woman is not so lucky. It's a little difficult to follow but this wasn't meant to be great art. Five minutes before it ended, the film was interrupted by a "Fright Break." The audience was given 45 seconds to follow "the yellow streak to the cowards' corner" or, if brave enough, to sit it out.
