Hold On! Reviews

British pop group Herman's Hermits is featured in this so-so answer to the Beatles' film HELP. The Hermits are touring the US followed by NASA scientist Anderson, who is to determine whether the group is worthy of having a space capsule named after it. Langdon is a starlet dreaming of glory and willing to do what she must to get there, while Fabares is Noone's girl. In the end the boys do a big show at the Rose Bowl and get their moniker on that capsule. Quick, painless, and campy by today's standards. Songs: "Hold On!" "A Must to Avoid," "All the Things I Do for You, Baby," "Where Were You When I Needed You?" (P.F. Sloan, Steve Barri), "Make Me Happy," "The George and Dragon," "Got a Feeling," "We Want You, Herman," "Wild Love," "Gotta Get Away" (Fred Karger, Sid Wayne, Ben Weisman), "Leaning on a Lamp Post" (Noel Gray).
