A Muslim preacher and a Christian priest swap identities after surviving separate assassination attempts in director Rami Imam's thinly veiled satire on religious bigotry in Egypt. Hassan (Adel Amim) is a Christian priest, and Morcos (Omar Sharif) is a Muslim preacher. After narrowly escaping death, the two holy men decide to hit the road, ultimately seeking shelter in a Cairo safe house. Eventually, Hassan and Morcos decide that their best bet for survival is to exchange identities and hope the ruse confuses their would-be assassins. Later, as the two religious rivals begin settling into their new roles, something strange begins to happen - a friendship begins to grow between them. But the neighbors aren't exactly comfortable with the prospect of a Muslim preacher and a Christian priest chumming up to one another, and as dissent begins to intensify Hassan and Morcos find their situation becoming more dire than ever before.
