Half Angel Reviews

Dee has barely recovered from being acquitted on charges of poisoning her father when another poisoning takes place and she is again suspected. Donlevy portrays a brash reporter who tries to force Dee into confessing, but ends up falling in love with her. After being fired by his city editor, Donlevy sets out to prove his sweetheart's innocence. Of course he manages to find the real murderers in the end and Dee's reputation is cleared. Fine performances, but what could have been a really funny murder mystery is hampered by poor writing, a surprise from the team of Fowler and Meredyth, whose work is known for its style and wit.
