Green Light Reviews

The hard-to-swallow plot of this film concerns a young surgeon (Flynn) who sacrifices his career to protect the reputation of an elderly doctor (O'Neill). O'Neill is responsible for a surgical slip that proves fatal to his patient. The victim's daughter, Louise, had been romantically involved with Flynn, but now she suspects him of being responsible for her mother's death. A nurse who was on duty at the time tells Louise the truth. In the meantime, Flynn nobly becomes involved in risky experimental research that causes him to contract a dreaded illness. Our hero not only survives, but goes on to prove the effectiveness of a new serum and renews his romance with Louise. This overly idealistic story was based on a novel by Lutheran minister-turned-writer Douglas.
