Glamour Girl Reviews

A familiar small-town-girl-takes-on-the-big-city film, with expected results. This time the girl is zither-playing Reed, who gets discovered in a small Tennessee town. She is taken by a talent scout Grey to the city and then quickly ignored. Undaunted, Grey forms her own company with Duane and quickly makes Reed an overnight sensation. Typical formula stuff, whose real excuse for being is to show off the talents of Krupa and his band. Songs include "Gene's Boogie" (Segar Ellis, George Williams), "Anywhere" (Jule Styne, Sammy Cahn), "Without Imagination" (Allan Roberts, Doris Fisher).
