Five Golden Hours Reviews

Kovacs, whose real niche was pioneering TV comedy, has his hands full trying to keep this weak script from collapsing. He's a professional mourner and pallbearer who takes advantage of wealthy widows. When he falls in love with sexy Charisse, a broke baroness, he collects money from three other widows to try to double it for her. Charisse disappears with the money, however, and to avoid explaining what happened, Kovacs tries to knock off the widows. When that fails, he pretends to be crazy. He finds Charisse and marries her; she has an eye on his fortune and untimely death. Sanders gives a rare performance as another fake lunatic in the asylum where Kovacs schemes his way to fortune.
