Police sergeant Tierney takes on the case of a murdered film actress after he is found, off-duty and drunk, at the scene of the crime. He goes through bedrooms and back alleys and everything seems to point to the man who shepherded the victim's career, Carradine. However, when nymphomaniac Mansfield (in her first film role) is also murdered, Tierney nabs Kaiser as the killer.
