Naive drug clerk Mulhall befriends a mobster who plants a cache of drugs on his person. Mulhall is then nabbed by the cops, but is smart enough to con the guilty one into a confession. Supporting Mulhall is Mae Clarke, who is best remembered for a smaller role, when James Cagney pushed a grapefruit in her face in PUBLIC ENEMY.
