Double or Nothing Reviews

The will of an eccentric millionaire calls for four people to receive $5,000 each, and the first one to double that by legitimate means gets $1 million. The dead man wants to prove to his brother that there are honest people in the world. The four lucky souls are Crosby, Raye, Devine, and Frawley, and the dead man's relatives are out to foil all their attempts to get the money. Singer Crosby wins by opening up a nightclub. A lightweight musical comedy with a bare plot and plenty of singing. Songs include: "It's On, It's Off" (Al Siegel, Sam Coslow), "Double or Nothing" (Johnny Burke, Victor Young), "Don't Look Now" (Irving Kahal, Johnny Green), "Listen My Children," "Smarty" (Ralph Freed, Burton Lane), "All You Want to Do Is Dance," "The Moon Got in My Eyes," "It's the Natural Thing to Do" (Burke, Arthur Johnston), "After You" (Siegel, Coslow).
