As alien invaders plot to conquer the Earth, two Boy Scouts steal a mini-submarine and discover Gamera in their midst. Transported to the alien's spaceship, the Scouts are menaced by the evil inhabitants, including Viras, a squid-like monster that grows to colossal size to battle Gamera.

Number four for ol' Gamera is a lot more tame than the films which were to follow (see GAMERA VERSUS JIGER). Gamera is taken over by an alien force which causes him to be a nasty turtle again, capturing two boys who were innocently playing around in a submarine. They work to free Gamera from the alien grip, and after he recovers, Gamera battles the octopus-ish Viras. More in the line of child entertainment than the others in the series.
