Johannes Riemann plays the dual role of twin brothers Peter and Paul. Peter is an energetic go-getter, while Paul is a lazy loafer. When Paul is on the verge of losing both his wife and his business, Peter takes his place to set things right. All of this has a profound effect on Paul's wife Ruth (Marita Paudlier), who simply can't understand why her previously indifferent husband has suddenly become such a dynamo, both financially and romantically. The film's title, by the way, translates as The False Husband, from the spell-it-all-out school of titling.
