Dear Inspector Reviews

Noiret, a professor of Greek at the Sorbonne and an inveterate womanizer, revives an old affair with Girardot but is shocked to discover that she's a detective working on a murder investigation. The film fizzles more often than it works, and the whole thing is almost disgustingly pleasant. A sequel, JUPITER'S THIGH, was released in 1981, and the film was remade as television film under the same title, with Brenda Vaccaro and Arlen Dean Snyder in the leads. (In French; English subtitles.)
