Daughters of Destiny Reviews

Three episodes dealing with the theme of women and war. In the first, Colbert is an American WW II widow who goes on an almost holy mission to retrieve her husband's body in Italy. There she finds he had lived with an Italian family whose daughter had a child by him. In the second story, Morgan is Joan of Arc, shown at the moment she has been abandoned by her king and her soldiers. The third episode is a humorous version of the Greek play "Lysistrata," with the wives of Athens withholding their favors until their men call off their war. Directed by three fine commercial directors, the episodes are all very well done, with the final story the best.
