Dangerous Youth Reviews

From the slum area of Liverpool, Vaughan, a would-be rock singer and full-time leader of a street gang, is drafted into the army, and the film follows him through basic training. The army makes a man of the street punk. His best friend in boot camp is killed by a troublemaker, and Vaughan deserts after wounding the bully in retaliation. He later straightens the mess out, settles down, and marries his singing partner, Lesley. Anna Neagle, one of Britain's leading actresses at the time, made her producing debut in this one. Songs: "Isn't It a Lovely Evening?" "These Dangerous Years," and "Cold, Cold Shower" (Richard Mullen, Peter Moreton, Bert Waller).
