Crooked Circle Reviews

Tommy Kelly (John Smith), the younger brother of an ex-fighter, decides to leave his Maine fishing camp and enter the ring in New York. He falls in with gangsters who force him to throw fights (big surprise), and when his brother (Don Kelly), who disappeared years before after winning a fight he was supposed to lose, sees what's happening, he comes to New York. Tommy wins the next fight he is supposed to throw and is taken for a ride by the mobsters, but Ken Cooper (Steve Brodie), a sportswriter, learns what has happened and leads the police to Tommy in the nick of time. Structured around the usual characters and situations, THE CROOKED CIRCLE is a fair fight film.
