This lightweight Italian comedy has respectable electrical engineer Tognazzi becoming infatuated with young Spaak, who travels with her friends to the beach with him in tow to pick up the tab. She taunts him as he tries to prove himself equal to the young men. Finally, he fights with Spaak's boy friend and takes a beating. He triumphs, however, with a lucky swing and is hailed as the new leader of the group. He falls asleep in Spaak' s arms and awakens to find himself alone on the beach, the others gone. Entertaining without the ponderousness this sort of film generally exhibits.
